WHEN YOU DIE THE GAME WILL CLOSE.

IT DID NOT CRASH; YOU DIED.

REOPEN THE GAME TO TRY AGAIN.

MAIN LOOP

Work:

Defuse server spikes with the day's code, handwritten on a sticky note. One incorrect entry and its all over.

Watercooler:

You are gifted a generous 15-minute water break. There is a coworker that won't seem to leave you alone. But they seem to know more than you do and they keep saying weird things.

Repeat:

End the day by taking the elevator. You don't know why you take it but it feels right. It seemingly reopens immediately as if you missed work so much you don't remember not being there.

YOU'VE GOT THAT NEW CAR SMELL.

EXPERIMENTATION

Defusing bomb after bomb after bomb. Day after day after day. Cut only with brief conversation and a quick elevator ride. The threat of immediate death dulls into the subconscious. Until you nearly SLIP. In an instant your mortality rushes forward sweating your palms and beating your chest. Guts and Fibre aims to explore the edges of the flow state, spiking from procedural bordem into anxiety. You play as an expendable employee and you should feel like one.

FEATURES

WHO is WATCHING?

You meet your manager during your training modules but never again. The cameras follow you. Your coworkers blow up, get cleaned and replaced by the next day. The lights break as the days go on. What is this place, who are these people and why do they have humans doing such a dangerous job?

Regain AGENCY

Ask questions as you wake you respond with silence. After some time at the water cooler, you summon a single word. You begin to speak. Only single options. As you live you regain control of yourself. Able to stitch whole sentences and thoughts together.

WHAT ARE YOU?

You drink but don't eat. Work, but only seem to pretend to go home. You're cold. Thoughts are only slowly materialising. That coworker seems to know more, they're just like you.
